Spinning - Beyond the Basics
You learned to spin and now you want another direction to go in with your spinning. Or you let it sit and haven't practiced. This will be a fun afternoon class to work on techniques like plying, consistency, how to adjust your wheel, and how to do some basic spinning wheel maintenance. You will need to bring your wheel, any accessories you prefer, and be prepared for a day of playing and furthering your spinning. 1 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Skills: You should be able to spin a basic yarn on a wheel. You do not have to be more than a beginner, but you can be advanced and still get something from this class.
Equipment for the student to bring: Spinning wheel, bobbins, orifice hook, and any other spinning accessories you like to have.
$15 material fee will cover fiber and student handouts
COVID statement: I am vaccinated and I prefer that you are as well. Masks are up to you as to whether or not you wear one. The space is relatively small and being in class tends to lead people to be close to each other. If you are uncomfortable with that a private lesson may be a better option. This class is limited to 6 people.
